We are told in Genesis that God created man in his own image, Jesus told us that we are the light of the world and that the Kingdom of Heaven is within us, and Paul tells us that the Spirit of God dwells within us.
We, as human beings, living in our daily lives are looking for the answers to life’s great questions, how can I live in harmony, peace, abundance and health? How can I create a legacy that allows my family to do that also.
If we really are the divine beings that Genesis, Jesus and Paul says we are why do I have to struggle? All the promises of the Bible and the scriptures of other religions describe a life of joy, peace and harmony that seems to be out of our reach. We are looking everywhere for the answers and listening to many prophets of all backgrounds and disciplines in our search for God.
Our Unity co-founder, Charles Fillmore, opened an idea in his book, Talks on Truth on page 110, “There can be but one leader for man in his search for God - the Spirit within him.” So, each of has the answer for our own selves within us. We are hardwired with the Universal Spirit that has the answers for our life and if we want to see the promises that are spoken of in the Bible, it is up to us to seek the answers that are already inside us and follow those directions to our highest good.
I had someone describe to me this week that he was not a seeker, he was a finder, a wonderful picture of the journey. A seeker is looking everywhere outside of themselves for answers and sooner or later must find out that everything they seek is to be found within them. These answers we look for are found little by little inside as we build a new consciousness through prayer, meditation, study and love. No one can do it for us.
We can be supported by discovering the tools of the spiritual life, however, we must do what is necessary, once we learn the tools, to create the lifestyles that are promised in Holy Scripture. We cannot run away from the Truth about us. We are children of God creating the world we live in. It is time to wake up and take control. I love you and see you complete and whole.
I Love you...
